LIMA , Nov 13 - The aircraft carrying Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim landed at 11:50pm local time on Tuesday, marking the start of his official visit to this western South American nation. This visit also represents the Prime Minister’s first to the Latin American region since he took office in 2022. Upon arrival at the Military Airbase, he was welcomed with a Static Guard of Honour.
During his visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet the President of Peru, Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, to discuss cooperation between Malaysia and Peru. In addition to Apec and the meeting with the President of Peru, Dina Ercili, Anwar said he would also engage with the Malaysian and Peruvian business communities.He will also deliver Malaysia’s Intervention at the Apec Economic Leaders' Meeting Retreat on Nov 16, 2024.
