PM Anwar arrives in Egypt for two-day working visit

CAIRO, Oct 22 -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived a two-day working visit to Egypt and is scheduled to have an audience with Egyp President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The Prime Minister's arrival was welcomed by Minister of Agricutlure and Land Reclamation of Egypt Mohamed El-Quseir at Presidential Lounge, Cairo International Airport.--fotoBERNAMA COPYRIGHT RESERVED

The special aircraft carrying the Prime Minister and his delegation landed at the Cairo International Airport at 8.16pm local time On arrival, the Prime Minister was greeted by Egypt's Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Mohamed El-Quseir, Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, Malaysian Ambassador to Egypt Zamani Ismail and Malaysian officials in Cairo.

Anwar is also scheduled to have an audience with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Al Ittihadiya Palace. This is Anwar's first visit to Egypt and first meeting with El-Sisi since he was appointed as Prime Minister in November last year.
