Tanya Plibersek said she would not be surprised if more Liberal backbenchers come out in support of the Voice, as the government becomes more confident of it passing at a referendum later this year.

The ‘Yes’ campaign suffered a major blow last week after Opposition leader Peter Dutton revealed the Liberal Party will oppose the Voice ahead of the referendum.
