Player rejected for AFCON 2023 now starring at EURO 2024
A representative of Italy star Michael Folorunsho has revealed how the player missed out on participating at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
This came after the 26-year-old was called up by Azzurri manager Luciano Spalletti during the March international break but did not make his way on to the pitch on that occasion. "Folorunsho was keen on playing at the AFCON and I tried to make it happen by texting the coach, but he didn't reply," he said in March.
