Plano ISD school board names Theresa Williams as lone finalist for superintendent
Theresa Williams embraces former Garland ISD administrator Aretha Burris after a special meeting naming her the lone finalist to be Plano ISD superintendent on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 at the Plano ISD administration building.The Plano ISD school board unanimously voted Monday to name Deputy Superintendent Theresa Williams its lone finalist for superintendent.
At Plano ISD, Williams has worked alongside Bonser to develop a plan and a strategic vision for the district. “You could not ask for a more caring, compassionate person,” Bonser said at the meeting. “Dr. Williams puts others before herself continuously and works tirelessly to lead and support everyone around her.”School was not always a pleasant experience for Williams, she said, but one teacher changed all of that for her.
School board members also said they have watched and appreciated the work that Williams has done in Plano ISD.
