PETALING JAYA: PKR National Youth has sent out letters to sack its permanent chairman Muhamad Mizan Adli Mohd Nor and his deputy Mohd Ramly Ahmad just days before the national congress.
In a letter dated Nov 27, it was stated that the party would be terminating their positions on the basis that they were above the age of 35, and that they had received more votes than the number of delegates who showed up at last year's PKR Youth National Convention. In an immediate response, Mizan and Ramly said it was ridiculous to question their positions and votes one year after the PKR Youth National Convention, just days before the next one due on Dec 6.
"The PKR National Congress is the highest order of the party, higher than the fixed rules they are quoting in the letter of sacking. Mizan and Ramly are deemed to be from the faction aligned to PKR Deputy President Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, whose letter of invitation to officiate the PKR Youth National Convention was rescinded by the other top leaders of the party.
