JOHOR BARU: A PKR MP has warned Pakatan Harapan that its image as the government has been tarnished following its decision to cut the Critical Service Incentive Allowance for new appointments beginning Jan 1.
Hassan Abdul Karim, who is the Pasir Gudang MP, said the allowance was introduced during the Barisan Nasional administration and that revoking it now would see a backlash against Pakatan.
He said such allowances would take up about RM15mil a year but the amount was small compared to the sacrifices and contributions by doctors and nurses. Hassan said many Pakatan MPs were against the move and urged the Health Minister to bring up the matter to the Public Service Department , including him.
