PKR has appointed Home Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr. Zaliha Mustafa as Vice Presidents. The party's Political Bureau made the decision during a meeting today, stating the appointments aim to strengthen the party's central organization and operations. Additionally, the party's annual congress, originally scheduled for June 26-28, has been postponed to August 14-16 to allow PKR Johor and Negeri Sembilan more time to prepare for the upcoming state elections.

Ketua Penerangan PKR, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil berkata, perkara itu diputuskan Biro Politik parti berkenaan dalam satu mesyuarat di sini, hari ini.
“Biro Politik telah melantik Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail dan Datuk Seri Dr. Zaliha Mustafa sebagai Naib Presiden PKR bagi mengukuh dan memantapkan lagi organisasi serta gerak kerja parti di peringkat pusat,” katanya dalam kenyataan, di sini hari ini. Tambah Menteri Komunikasi itu, mesyuarat tersebut turut memutuskan untuk menangguhkan Kongres Tahunan PKR daripada 26 hingga 28 Jun kepada 14 hingga 16 Ogos Ogos depan.
” Penangguhan ini dibuat bagi memberi ruang kepada PKR Johor dan Negeri Sembilan untuk mempertingkat kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi Pilihan Raya Negeri yang bakal berlangsung,” katanya. – UTUSAN
