Some registered Filipino voters in the US appealed to the Comelec to extend the overseas absentee voting in their area for Eleksyon2022. This is due to the delay in the delivery of election packets which include official ballots.

The Philippine Consulate General in New York appealed for patience and understanding as they strive to have the election packets delivered to registered overseas absentee voters in the US after a delay in shipment of election paraphernalia from the Philippines. Dave Llavanes Jr.

The delay in the delivery of election packets has affected more than 35,000 overseas absentee registered voters in areas under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Washington, DC. Nerissa Allegretti of 1Sambayan USA, in an online press conference said it is not the voters' fault that there would be a delay when voters send in their ballots.

Consul General Elmer Cato of the Philippine Consulate General in New York asked voters for patience and understanding.
