If the ordinance is approved, small and micro-state businesses with 20 employees, or less will be eligible. Businesses must also be in operation for at least two years, be located in unincorporated Pierce County or within a city or town that has a population of less than 8,000 people as of April 1, 2023.“The grant program was proposed by Executive Dammeier as part of his biennial budget submitted to Council,” a county spokesperson said.
