If you’re a Malaysian TVB fan, you already know that one of the year’s biggest dramas, “The Heir To The Throne ” was filmed here in Malaysia. After a year of waiting, the drama finally premiered on 13th May ! The project, also named “Modern Dynasty 2”, is notable for having a stellar lineup, including Charmaine Sheh , Raymond Lam and Him Law .

The series is centred around the main character, Ho Yee, as she takes up the new role as the heir to the family business while facing trials and tribulations. Malaysian fans are particularly excited for “The Heir To The Throne” as a large part of the drama is set in our home country. While we can’t share much information on the exact filming locations, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur did reveal in a recent Instagram post that the drama will have scenes in their mall.

Homegrown star Joey Leong was also in the drama, playing Charmaine’s assistant. She admitted it was a lot of pressure to act beside the icon but said she gained a lot of knowledge from the filming. Actress and singer Ruby Yap also took part in the filming - but according to China Press, she’ll only start appearing in a later episode. Nevertheless, the star has already shared photos taken with the main cast during the filming.
