Officials are searching for a man wanted for aggravated assault after her reportedly choked his partner and threatened to kill her.
Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's Office began their search for 44-year-old Yosvany-Armando Cruz-Lopez, also known as Gio Cuz, around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Deputies responded to the home and said that the woman further told them that she and Cruz had gotten into an argument the night before, Oct. 13, where he used a rope or a cord to choke her to the point where she could not breath. Deputies reportedly stayed with the woman until later that evening when he texted her and asked her to come pick him up at a location that was not disclosed by law enforcement."Anyone who might see Cruz is asked to call Central Utah Dispatch at 798-5600," deputies stated. "If the situation is urgent, call 911 instead of the non-emergency line."
Cruz is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault as well as a felony charge of domestic violence in the presence of a child.
