A former Queensland police officer claims she awoke to being raped by a fellow officer in her bedroom, as a court heard Chief Superintendent Ray Rohweder would be called as a witness about the historical case.
The alleged victim, who was a serving police officer at the time, made a complaint within days, the court heard. He also told the court that during a pretext phone call between his client and the alleged victim in 2021, the policeman said: “Look, [complainant name], as far as I’m concerned, everything there was consensual”.
“[The policeman] says: ‘hang on, hang on there. What? There was absolutely, no, what, intercourse? No, what? Where did that come from?’” “[The complainant] then makes that description in that entry, which is, at least significantly arguably, not a description of a memory of sexual intercourse, but of a state of affairs from which she inferred a sexual intercourse had occurred,” Holt said.
