The suspects were taken into custody in the area 32nd Street and Thomas Road following a nearby shooting.
PHOENIX — A Phoenix police officer is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation concerning"serious criminal acts," according to the Phoenix Police Department and the FBI. But what those criminal acts are remains unclear. The FBI confirmed to 12News that it was conducting"court-authorized law enforcement activity" at the home and they searched a substation or precinct, as well.
The Phoenix Police Department said it has"initiated the disciplinary process, up to and including termination of the officer in question," but has not said what the officer is being accused of. "We are committed to upholding transparency throughout this process, and we will provide further information as it becomes available," Phoenix PD said in a statement to 12News."We understand the importance of maintaining public trust, and we assure the community that we take these matters seriously and will handle them with the utmost diligence and integrity.
