Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper is dreaming of an Olympic gold medal after confirmation on Monday, Oct. 16, that baseball will be included at the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

LOS ANGELES -- Harper, one of Major League Baseball's biggest stars who is currently battling for a place in the World Series, said the return of the sport to the Olympic stage was"really cool."

Harper, a two-time National League Most Valuable Player, said he hoped his age would not prevent him from playing in 2028. "I would hope that Major League Baseball ... you talk about growing the game, and that's the way you grow it at the highest peak."I mean, I think it would be really cool. I think it would be a lot of fun. I don't know if they'll ever go for it, but I would love to put USA on my chest and represent it at the highest level."
