The Philippines on Tuesday recorded 196 new COVID-19 cases, while the active tally went down to 11,342.
Based on the Department of Health's latest data, the new cases pushed the nationwide tally to 4,070,675, while the number of active infections dropped fromThe National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases in the past two weeks, with 1,694 infections reported.
It was followed by Calabarzon with 855 cases, Central Luzon with 431, Cagayan Valley with 395, and Western Visayas with 285.The country’s bed occupancy rate stood at 19.4%, with 5,227 beds occupied and 21,752 vacant as of Sunday.VBL, GMA Integrated News
