Philippines, Australia in talks to improve bilateral trade

Australian Embassy senior trade and investment commissioner Christopher Lim said Australia would work on its bilateral trade engagements with the Philippines to move up the list.

The embassy, he said, is preparing for more trade missions to the Philippines starting 2024. Under the Southeast Asia Business Exchange, Lim will go to Australia to personally promote the Philippines which can be a business opportunity for both. All three areas of cooperation are embedded in the Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, which aims to deepen the country’s economic and trade engagements with the region and the Philippines being part of the region.
