The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday registered 1,460 new COVID-19 cases, which pushed the number of active infections to 18,632.
The new infections also pushed the nationwide tally to 4,046,849, according to the DOH.
In the recent two weeks, the National Capital Region remained the region with the most number of infections recorded with 5,535. It was followed by Calabarzon with 2,194, Central Luzon with 1,064, Western Visayas with 841, and Cagayan Valley with 789.The death toll climbed to 64,845 with 25 new deaths logged.
A total of 10,609 individuals have been tested, while 326 testing labs have submitted data as of Friday, December 8. The Department of Health said 6,527 beds have neem occupied, while 21,346 have been vacant as the bed occupancy in the country stood at 23.4% as of Wednesday, December 7.
