The “Barbie” trend has overwhelmed the internet as famous Filipino stars and netizens alike join in the craze by having their own entries.
With this, Filipinos joined “barbieland” and hopped on the trend, as they edited Filipino icons into the poster.The posters include Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, whose captions were references to their famous lines in the 1998 film “Labs Kita Okay Ka Lang.”
In the Facebook post, the caption read: “This Ken is Barbie’s best friend” and “This Barbie is so stupid to make the biggest mistake of falling in love with her best friend.”Singer Barbie Almapilis’ Barbie-edited poster was edited and posted by influencer Macoy dubs on Wednesday which stated, “This Barbie is the singer of Tabing Ilog.”Meanwhile, a tweet by @trojanprincess_ on Thursday which included actress Barbie Forteza’s Barbie edited poster stated, “This Barbie is the Jowa ni Jan Roberto.
