The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has deployed humanitarian aid to thousands of families affected by 'Egay' (international name: Doksuri) while bracing to respond to the impact of 'Falcon' (international name: Khanun).

"Immediate response is crucial as a super typhoon can claim lives in an instant. At the same time, we are prepositioning other humanitarian equipment and vehicles in preparation for Tropical Storm Falcon. We are working 24/7 to help the people," Gordon said. These include hot meals for 6,045 people, bread, bottled water, psychological first aid, child-friendly activities for 635 children, hygiene promotion for 1,260, hygiene kits, sleeping kits, slippers, and jerry cans, medicines, blood pressure tests, health consultation, health promotion, 11 first aid stations, and seven welfare desks.
