"Their relentless efforts to support us are proof that the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies all over the globe are committed to helping each other in doing what must be done, regardless of origin and differences," Gordon said. Representatives from QRCS and QFFD went to Libacao, Aklan, and Upi, Maguindanao, on May 30 and June 3, respectively, with PRC Aklan Chapter and PRC Cotabato-Maguindanao Chapter, to start giving food packs to 650 families, including those living in PRC's Tent City. Also, on June 15 and 16, all of the remaining families will be provided with the same recovery aid.Secretary-General Dr. Gwen Pang suggested pre-positioning donated equipment in disaster-stricken areas.
