According to the DOH’s latest weekly report on Monday, the spike translates to a daily average of 341, which is 23 percent higher than the 278 daily average cases recorded from April 3 to 9 or during Holy Week.Meanwhile, 17 or 0.72 percent of the total recorded infections were tagged as critical or severe, with active critical or severe COVID-19 admissions currently at 356.
Twenty deaths were also added to the country’s death toll, none, however, were recorded in the past two weeks with all deaths being backlogs reported as early as January 2021.
