Bag maker Nomatic and famous photographer Peter McKinnon have teamed up for a new collection of camera bags.
is now on Kickstarter and at the time of publication had already eclipsed its $100,000 funding goal by nearly $50,000. The collection includes a traditional backpack design alongside two sling bags of different sizes. With a redesigned style and new color options, the Luma Camera Collection promises to deliver “camera bags that don’t look like camera bags.”
The Camera Pack offers three access points: side, top, and front. The main compartment includes customizable and removable camera gear organizers. Since the dividers are removable, the bag can be used as a regular backpack with a single large compartment. The backpack includes multiple mesh zipper pockets for storingThe backpack includes a roller luggage handle pass-through, an accessory shock cord, and external pockets that can be used to carry a tripod.
The Camera Pack 18L is constructed using 900D polyester, and it uses YKK zippers. The backpack is water resistant. It starts at $185 for early bird backers and will retail for $220 when it launches to the general public. The Sling 12L is 30% deeper than the 9L size, although the smaller bag can still hold a camera, action camera, drone, chargers, microphone, or hard drive. It includes a pair of small dividers.
