Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Pet Sematary: Bloodlines has a well-rounded cast of characters. Set in 1969, the prequel to 2019’s Pet Sematary follows a teenager who discovers long-buried secrets about his family that are tied to a local cemetery. The film, directed by Lindsey Anderson Beer from a screenplay she co-wrote with Jeff Buhler, was adapted from the novel by Stephen King.
Jackson White as Jud Crandall Jud Crandall is a teenager desperate to leave the town of Ludlow, but soon discovers his family’s dark history that changes everything for him. He goes in search of answers and finds far more than he bargained for. Jud is portrayed by Jackson White, who is best known for his roles in the series Mrs. Fletcher, The Middle, Tell Me Lies, and SEAL Team.
Forrest Goodluck as Manny Manny is Jud’s childhood best friend. Manny is loyal, but keeps to himself for the most part. He plays a crucial role in the film’s narrative. Manny isn’t a character who appears in the original Pet Sematary, as it’s focused more on the Creed family, but he’s more of a central focus here because of his connection to Jud.
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines Supporting Cast & Characters Jack Mulhern as Timmy Baterman - Timmy Baterman, like Jud, originally appeared in Pet Sematary, though his story is different in Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. Timmy is a childhood friend of Jud’s who served in Vietnam, and who is seemingly impacted after his time there. Timmy’s behavior is concerning to Jud throughout the film.
