Haaland mahu meneruskan prestasi 'luar biasa' pada musim pertama di England, manakala Nunez mula menemui sentuhan dalam dua penampilan terakhir, sekali gus menjadi menjadikan pertembungan Liverpool-Manchester City esok amat menarik.
Begitupun, pada ketika Haaland memulakan musim yang luar biasa dengan meledak 15 gol daripada 10 penampilan pertama, Nunez pula belum menunjukkan kemampuan sebenar bersama Liverpool.
Nunez yang dibeli pada harga 75 juta euro daripada Benfica agak perlahan di awal musim tetapi mula menyerlahkan kemampuan ketika membantu Liverpool membelasah Rangers 7-1 dalam kempen Liga Juara-Juara kelmarin. Begitupun sejak kemenangan itu, Haaland, 22, jauh lebih menonjol dan bersedia menghukum Reds di Anfield.
Sementara itu, dua gol Nunez dalam dua aksi terakhir Liverpool – bertemu Arsenal dan Rangers menggambarkan dia semakin menemui sentuhan bersama Liverpool.“Dia amat lega. Semua usaha sudah berbalas. Marilah kita berharap dia dapat bermula dari sini,” kata pengurus Liverpool, Juergen Klopp.
