Raja Perlis consents to assembly dissolution

Azlan said Raja Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail had consented to the dissolution of the state assembly to allow state elections to be held concurrently with the general election. “Praise be to God, His Highness has given his consent and the date of dissolution of the state assembly, which is effective today,” he said in a press conference at his office in Kangar today. “Hence, state elections will be held simultaneously with GE15 and we will hand over all matters to the Election Commission for the next step,” he said.
