Perlis Mufti Datuk Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin has issued a fatwa declaring the teachings of the group known as GISBH (Global Islamic Society for Brotherhood and Harmony) as un-Islamic and deviant. He cited evidence showing GISBH's connection to the banned Al-Arqam movement and highlighted the group's beliefs in miracles, divine knowledge possessed by leaders, blind obedience, and seeking blessings from deceased leaders' remains as deviations from Islamic teachings.
