Sementara itu, Umat Katolik Bebas untuk Keadilan di Myanmar yang terdiri daripada sekumpulan klerus, religius, dan awam di dalam dan luar negeri, menganjurkan doa-doa perdamaian dan bagi mereka yang me-ninggal dalam perjuangan mereka demi demokrasi di Myanmar. Kardinal Charles Bo, yang memimpin Misa pada Okt 9, menggambarkan “zaman kegelapan baharu di seluruh dunia” di mana orang-orang berjuang melawan pelbagai ketidak adilan dan peperangan.

Uskup Agung Yangon itu mendesak umat Katolik untuk menjadi seperti orang-orang Paskah yang tidak kehilangan harapan kerana perjalanan ke Kalvari belum berakhir!
