'Percy Tau must be praised'
Former Egypt ian footballer Ramadan El Sayed praised Percy Tau after Al Ahly 's progression to the final of the CAF Champions League.
The Red Devils have reached the final of the CAF Champions League, where they will face Esperance Sportive de Tunis, after beating Tanzanian side TP Mazembe 3-0 on aggregate over two legs. Al Ahly manager Marcel Koller made the decision to start Tau in second leg of the semi-final – the Bafana Bafana star was used a substitute for the first leg – and the former Brighton & Hove Albion forward played the full 90 minutes.
The South African is the only footballer form Mzansi to have won the competition twice, and the final against ES Tunis presents a chance for him to extend that record. On Friday night, the 29-year-old was part of an attacking set-up that caused the Tanzanians considerable problems, and former star Ramadan El Sayed has since praised the frontline used.
