IPOH, May 3 — Perak recorded an increase in the cumulative number of dengue fever cases this year, totalling 1,202 cases, compared to 257 cases during the corresponding period last year, an increase of 945 cases or 367.7 per cent.
“The Kinta district recorded the highest number of cases at 41, followed by Kerian , Larut Matang and Selama , Kampar, Manjung and Kuala Kangsar , Hulu Perak and Hilir Perak and Bagan Datuk . Sivanesan advised the public to be vigilant and keep the environment clean to avoid the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes.
