There are no plans to close the Movie Animation Park Studio, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
“In order to save MAPS, we have done many things including cutting the number of workers and coming up with several ideas to gain revenue. It was reported on Dec 6 that Affin Investment has put ATP under receivership and has appointed Datuk Duar Tuan Kiat of Messrs Ernst & Young as receiver and manager over the property on Dec 4.“I think the bank knows that in order for them to receive payment, the theme park needs to continue operating.
“Although I am the chairman, I was not aware of this matter and have spoken to the executive officer to release a statement on this issue, ” he said. “Perhaps they want to be famous, I am not sure. But in order for us to save the earth together, the public must inform us first, then only we will have a collaboration between the state and its people, ” he said.
