Perak MB: List of duty-free items in Pangkor will be finalise

“With regard to the item list and tax exemption in Pangkor, the state government is currently detailing the matter with the Ministry of Finance. In addition, Ahmad Faizal advised Pangkor residents not to sell their land but to collaborate with the government or the private sector to develop the island as the main tourism hub in the state.
He said the ministry was also in the process of amending several subsidiary acts and legislation including the Customs Act 1967, the Excise Act 1976, Sales Tax Act 2018, Service Tax Act 2018 and Free Zone Act 1990.
