IPOH: The Perak Road Transport Department (JPJ) will use the e-bidding system for its latest vehicle registration number series.
State JPJ director Severinus Tukah said this would be the first time the system was being used in the state and the public could bid for the latest registration series of"ALL" through it. "Those interested to make a bid need to first register on our website to get their mySIKAP identity number.
“They can then start bidding from 12am on Sept 16 until 11.59pm on Sept 23. The results will be announced on Sept 24," he told a press conference at state JPJ headquarters here on Tuesday . "There are no limits to the amount bid, but an individual can only get a maximum of three number plates while a registered company can get five," he said. "The system will also show the rankings based on real-time, and there is no human-interfering element," he added."For now, the system would only accept local credit and debit cards. “For the 'ALL' series, we are expecting to collect at least RM1mil worth of bids," he said, adding that the highest bid recorded in Perak was for the registration number series 'AKU' at RM3.1mil.Stay tuned for a new offer coming to you soon.
