KOTA KINABALU: A doctor from Perak died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Labuan on Wednesday (Sept 6).
Harvin Longanathan, 30, from Chemor town, died on the spot following the incident near Simpang Rangas around 7.50am.
Labuan police chief Supt Mohd Hamizi Halim said the victim was plying through Jalan Bebuloh when he lost control of his motorcycle as he was negotiating a road bend. "As a result, his motorcycle veered into the opposing lane and hit straight into a car driven by a 38-year-old woman," he said, in a statement.Supt Mohd Hamizi said the incident is being probed under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
