Peraga kemewahan namun enggan bayar hutang Mara
SEREMBAN: Pengerusi Majlis Amanah Rakyat , Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki membidas tindakan sesetengah peminjam dari institusi itu yang dilihat sengaja tidak mahu membayar pinjaman sebaliknya memperagakan kemewahan.
“Saya tiada kuasa untuk melupuskan apa juga pinjaman tetapi kalau ada masalah datang jumpa . Jangan pula ada masalah atau tidak ada masalah sengaja tidak mahu bayar tetapi memperagakan kemewahan, jadi ini saya rasa tidak adil bagi semua pihak,” katanya. Asyraf Wajdi mengulas laporan media mengenai tindakan pegawai Mara yang menyerbu sebuah rumah dipercayai milik pelakon terkenal di Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya hari ini kerana dikatakan gagal membayar pinjaman berjumlah RM1 juta.
“Setiap peminjam yang mempunyai komitmen perlu membayar balik pinjaman perniagaan, atau pendidikan mereka mengikut jadual.
