On 7 October, a 78-year-old woman was walking along Jalan Limau Manis towards the shops around 6.30am when a motorcyclist snatched her handbag. She was bleeding in her head and was put under medical observation. A police report has been filed and the case will be investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt during a robbery. Upon conviction, it carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence and whipping.
