The exact timeframe the Eraring Power Station could be set to remain open for and the amount it could cost taxpayers is still unknown, as Penny Sharpe copped a grilling from Laura Jayes on Friday morning.
Ms Sharpe appeared on Sky News Australia’s AM Agenda to discuss the update on Eraring after Tuesday’s announcement it would remain open for the foreseeable future.

Picture: Sky News Australia “These are going to be very difficult and tough negotiations so we’re not flagging ahead of time what that looks like.” After a discussion on how the previous government’s privatisation of the electricity network has made the transition into renewables harder, the host asked a third time: “Again, do you have a ball park of how long Eraring might need to be extended for even it is some kind of sliding scale?”
