Branden T. Sisca, one of two Pennsylvania State Troopers killed along with a civilian in a crash on I-95, was remembered Monday not only for his companionship but for a devotion to a career in public service.
Branden T. Sisca, a 29-year-old Pennsylvania State Trooper who was died in a suspected drunk driving crash on I-95 in Philadelphia, was remembered for his dedication to public service. Sisca, a husband and soon-to-be father, was recently named fire chief at Trappe Fire Company in Montgomery County after decades with the department.
Sisca, 29, and fellow trooper Matin F. Mack III, 33, responded to a call of a person walking on I-95 near the Broad Street exit in South Philadelphia early Monday morning. Dispatch called for backup when Troopers Mack and Sisca did not respond on their radios. Backup arrived as witnesses attempted CPR on the troopers. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
