Terdahulu, tular di media sosial lebih 400 rakyat Malaysia yang hadir ke festival DWP diperas ugut oleh pihak Polis Indonesia ketika mereka ditahan secara membuta tuli tanpa alasan yang kukuh.
Sekitar bulan Disember lalu, tular di media sosial dakwaan para pengunjung Malaysia yang hadir ke festival muzik EDM, Djakarta Warehouse Project 2024 di Jakarta, Indonesia telah berdepan tindakan mengejutkan oleh pihak polis di sana.
Susulan kekecohan itu, penganjur DWP 2024, Ismaya Live meluahkan rasa kesalnya dan menyatakan bahawa isu pemerasan oleh anggota polis Indonesia itu akan disiasat oleh pihak berkuasa. Pengarah Jabatan Narkotik Polis Daerah Metro Jaya Jakarta dipecat Terbaharu, Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Narkotik Polis Daerah Metro Jaya Jakarta, Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak dipecat secara ‘tidak hormat’ daripada institusi kepolisian berhubung kes pemerasan tersebut.
“Keputusan sidang menetapkan tindakan ‘pemberhentian tidak dengan hormat’ untuk direktur bahagian narkotik dan ketua unitnya juga,” katanya.
