Penang woman, believed mentally ill, throws acid at niece, cop

A WOMAN, believed to be mentally ill, was arrested in Taman Impian, Bukit Mertajam, yesterday after she threw acid at her niece and a policeman, but missed.

Seberang Prai Tengah district police chief Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said in the 4.47pm incident, police received a call from the niece, saying her 51-year-old aunt, a single mother of one, was acting aggressively.
