GEORGE TOWN: With 70% of its members forced to shut their businesses permanently or temporarily, the Association of Tourist Attractions Penang (Atap) is urging for strategies to restore and reactivate the tourism industry.
Atap chairman Ch'ng Huck Theng said they urgently need practical and proper advice from the government on allowing tourism attractions to reopen for business, specifically strategies to restore and reactivate the sector.
Ch'ng added that opening up attractions does not mean business will be good, saying that it at least gives hope to the stakeholders.
