The silver chariot, adorned with the majestic statue of Lord Murugan, departed from the Kovil Veedu (Temple House) on Penang Street at approximately 7:30 am. It trailed right behind the golden chariot, traversing the same path, and was destined to culminate its journey at the Nattukotai Chettiar Temple at Waterfall. The air vibrated with the resounding chants of 'vel vel vetri' or 'vel vel Murugan' from the devotees who accompanied the procession every step of the way. Traditional drummers provided a rhythmic backdrop to the silver chariot's journey, their captivating beats adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
