Penang orders all camping sites to shut temporarily
Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming has instructed that all camping sites near rivers and vulnerable locations nationwide be closed for seven days with immediate effect following the landslide in Batang Kali, Selangor. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 18, 2022.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the measure was taken on the instruction of Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming to close all campsites near rivers and vulnerable sites nationwide for seven days with immediate effect after the tragedy.
