“While high blood pressure affects 35.4 per cent of Penang residents, which is 6.2 percentage points higher than the national figure of 29.2 per cent.” Diabetes affects 20.5 per cent of the state’s adult population, 4.9 percentage points higher than the national rate of 15.6 per cent, with 7.7 per cent of cases remaining undiagnosed.
