GEORGE TOWN: Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow will seek an audience with Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak on June 27 to dissolve the state legislative assembly.
"I will seek an audience with the governor first before the dissolution," he said.
"If they do not win, then they won't be selected in the state executive council line-up. The state does not have any laws to appoint someone with no seat," he said. On seat talks with Barisan Nasional, Chow said the final decision would be made by the presidential council. Six states – Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Penang, Selangor and Negri Sembilan – did not dissolve their state assemblies before the 15th General Election on Nov 19, 2022.
