Bersih 2.0 dalam kenyataannya pada 28 April meragui sikap neutral bekas presiden Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah itu yang kini menyertai PPBM sebagai seorang pemerhati pilihan raya.

Menurutnya tindakan melantik pemerhati pilihan raya perlu selari dengan piawaian ditetapkan Deklarasi Prinsip Global untuk Pemerhati dan Pemantauan Pilihan Raya Non-Partisan oleh Organisasi Sivil .
