Menteri Pengangkutan Loke Siew Fook dan rakan sejawatannya dari Singapura, Khaw Boon Wan memeriksa tapak RTS yang dicadangkan di Woodlands North di Singapura hari ini.
Malaysia dan Singapura hari ini secara rasmi memeterai perjanjian tambahan bagi menangguhkan projek tersebut sehingga 30 September tahun ini. “Sudah tentunya ia perlu munasabah untuk menyepadukan kedua-dua perkhidmatan dari Johor Bahru ke Singapura. Apabila kita sampai di sini kita perlu menyepadukannya atau anda perlu menghubungkannya kepada sistem MRT dan ia menyediakan hubungan yang baik.
Loke berkata, sekiranya projek RTS diteruskan, Bukit Chagar akan menjadi hab pengangkutan yang akan menghubungkan keseluruhan Johor Bahru dengan Transit Bas Rapid , projek yang dicadangkan oleh Pihak Berkuasa Wilayah Pembangunan Iskandar .
