A 78-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Beach Haven on Long Beach Island, authorities said.
The woman was hit at around 5:10 p.m. as she crossed Bay Avenue at the intersection of 9th Street, Beach Haven police said. The northbound driver — an 82-year-old Venice, Florida man — had a green light.Jeff Goldman may be reached at
