Pedestrian struck, killed by Sprinter train in Escondido [Breaking]
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Sprinter train in Escondido late Wednesday afternoon, a sheriff’s official said.
The crash occurred about 5:40 p.m. on the tracks near the intersection of Mission Road and Enterprise Street, in an industrial area south of state Route 78 and west of Interstate 15. The pedestrian, a man who was approximately 30 years old, died at the scene, sheriff’s Sgt. Jason King said in a statement.Anyone with information was asked to share tips anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 580-8477 or the P3 Tips app. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information that leads to an arrest.
