Pedestrian seriously injured after hit-and-run crash in Chula Vista [Breaking]
A driver fled the scene of a hit-and-run crash that left a female pedestrian seriously injured Wednesday in Chula Vista, police said.
A Chula Vista community service officer witnessed the collision about 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of F Street and Garrett Avenue, police Officer Ryan Culver said in a statement. The injured woman was found unresponsive, police said. She sustained “several significant injuries” and was taken to a hospital, Culver said.The driver fled the scene of the collision, Culver said. The vehicle appeared to be a white van with a boom lift on top.Chula Vista police urged anyone who witnessed the collision or has additional information about the incident department’s Traffic Bureau at 417-9436.
